01Introduction
Welcome to Arena AI ("Arena," "we," "our," or "us"). Arena is a creative space where you can chat with AI, talk out loud with Voice, turn your ideas into images, explore artwork, crop photos, and remix your creations.
This Privacy Policy explains what information Arena uses, why, where it goes, and the choices you have. We designed Arena to work without an account: we don't ask for your name, email, or location to use the app, and there are no analytics in the app. By using Arena, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

Third-Party AI Service & Your Permission
Chat, Voice and Generate are powered by Cloudflare Workers AI, a third-party AI service provided by Cloudflare, Inc. The AI models run on Cloudflare's own servers: Meta Llama 3.2 for Chat and Voice, and FLUX.1 [schnell] by Black Forest Labs for images. Your data is not sent to Meta or Black Forest Labs.
What is sent
- The messages you type in Chat, plus a few recent messages for context
- The prompts you enter or choose in Generate
- The text of what you say in Voice (never the audio)
- Your IP address, used briefly to apply a daily usage limit
We ask first
- Before anything is sent, Arena shows a screen explaining what data is shared and with whom, and asks for your permission.
- If you tap Don't Allow, nothing is sent. Chat, Voice and Generate stay off, and Art, Crop and History still work.
- You can withdraw your permission anytime in Arena → Settings → AI Data Sharing.
How it's used and protected
- This data is used only to create the reply or image you asked for. Arena doesn't store it, sell it, or use it for advertising.
- Cloudflare processes it only to provide the service and doesn't use it to train AI models.
- Cloudflare protects this data with safeguards equal to those described in this policy. See Cloudflare's Privacy Policy.
03Information We Collect
3.1 Information You Provide
- Chat messages: The text you type in Chat. To keep replies in context, your recent messages (up to the last few in the conversation) are sent with each request.
- Voice text: When you use Voice, the text of what you said (not the audio) is sent to create a reply.
- Image prompts: The descriptions you type in Generate, or that you choose from Prompt Gifts, Art, or History ("Generate again").
- Photos you choose to crop: Processed only on your device. They are never uploaded.
- Contact Us messages: If you contact us from Settings, we receive your name (optional), email address, selected topic, message, and the app version you're using.
Chat messages, voice text, and image prompts are sent to Cloudflare Workers AI only after you give permission in the app. See Third-Party AI Service & Your Permission.
3.2 Information Collected Automatically
- IP address: When the app connects to Arena's server, your device's IP address is used briefly to apply usage limits and prevent abuse. It isn't linked to you or used for any other purpose.
- Advertising data (Google AdMob): To show and measure ads, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier (only if you allow tracking), IP address, device type, operating system, approximate location derived from your IP address, and ad interactions. See Section 8.
What Arena Does NOT Collect
- No accounts, sign-ins, or passwords
- No in-app analytics or usage tracking by Arena
- No precise location, contacts, or calendar data
- No voice recordings: your audio is never sent to or stored by Arena
- No access to your full photo library
04Permissions We Ask For
Arena only asks for permissions when you use a feature that needs them. You can decline any of them and still use the rest of the app.
- AI Data Sharing: Before Chat, Voice or Generate send anything to Cloudflare Workers AI, Arena asks for your permission in the app. You can change this anytime in Arena → Settings → AI Data Sharing. See Third-Party AI Service.
- Microphone: "Arena uses the microphone so you can talk to it in Voice." Used only while Voice is listening.
- Speech Recognition: "Arena turns what you say into text so it can answer you in Voice." Uses Apple's speech recognition (see Section 7).
- Photos (Add Only): "Arena saves images you generate to your photo library when you tap Save." Arena can add images to your library but cannot read your existing photos.
- Photo Picker (Crop): Uses Apple's system photo picker, which needs no library permission. Arena only receives the single photo you choose.
- Tracking (App Tracking Transparency): "Arena uses this to show ads that are more relevant to you. You can still use every feature if you say no."

To Provide Arena's Features

- Crop your photos to the ratio you pick, entirely on your device
- Save your creations to History on your device, and to Photos when you tap Save
To Keep Arena Running
- Apply usage limits so the service stays fair and available for everyone
- Prevent abuse of the AI service
- Reply to your questions, feedback, and bug reports sent via Contact Us
To Show Ads
- Display banner, interstitial, and app-open ads that keep Arena free, as described in Section 8
We never use your chats, prompts, or images to build a profile of you, and we never sell them.
06Feature-by-Feature Privacy
💬 Chat CLOUD AI
With your permission, your message, along with a few recent messages for context, is sent over an encrypted connection (HTTPS) to Arena's server, which uses Cloudflare Workers AI (Meta Llama 3.2) to create a reply. Arena's server does not save your messages. Your conversation is kept in the app's memory only while it's open and is cleared when the app is closed.
🎙️ Voice ON-DEVICE SPEECH
Apple's speech recognition turns your voice into text on your device when your iPhone or iPad supports it. On devices that don't support on-device recognition, Apple may process the audio on its servers under Apple's Privacy Policy. With your permission, only the resulting text is sent to Arena's server and Cloudflare Workers AI to create a reply, which is then read aloud using your device's built-in voice. Arena never records or stores your voice.
✨ Generate & Prompt Gifts CLOUD AI
With your permission, your prompt is sent securely to Arena's server, which uses Cloudflare Workers AI (FLUX.1 [schnell] by Black Forest Labs) to create an image. The image is sent back to your device. Arena's server does not keep your prompt or the generated image.
🎨 Art CACHED LOCALLY
Gallery artwork is downloaded from Arena's image host (served by Cloudflare) and cached on your device so it loads faster next time. No personal information is sent beyond the standard network data, such as your IP address, that any web request includes.
✂️ Crop 100% ON-DEVICE
The photo you pick is loaded, cropped, and displayed entirely on your device. It is never uploaded anywhere. It's only saved to your library if you tap "Save to Photos."
🖼️ History ON-DEVICE
Your generated images and their prompts are stored only in Arena's private storage on your device. You can long-press an image to delete it, and deleting the app removes all of them.
07Third-Party Services
7.1 Cloudflare, Inc. (Workers AI & Hosting) CLOUD
- Purpose: Hosts Arena's server and runs the AI models for Chat, Voice replies, and image generation. It also hosts the Art gallery images and stores Contact Us messages.
- Data processed:
- Chat messages and Voice text (Meta Llama 3.2 model)
- Image prompts (FLUX.1 [schnell] model)
- IP address, used for usage limits and network delivery
- Contact Us messages (name, email, topic, message, app version)
- Retention: AI requests are processed in real time. Arena does not store your chats, prompts, or generated images.
- Your permission: AI data is sent to Cloudflare only after you allow it in the app. You can withdraw anytime in Arena → Settings → AI Data Sharing.
- Protection: Cloudflare doesn't use your data to train AI models and protects it with safeguards equal to those in this policy.

7.2 Google AdMob & User Messaging Platform ADS
- Purpose: Shows ads in Arena and manages your ad consent choices.
- Data processed: Advertising identifier (only with your permission), IP address, device and OS information, approximate location, and ad interactions such as views and taps.

7.3 Apple Frameworks ON-DEVICE
- Speech framework: Converts your voice to text in Voice. This happens on your device when supported, and otherwise on Apple's servers.
- Speech synthesis: Reads replies aloud entirely on your device.
- Photos & PhotosPicker: Lets you pick a photo to crop and save images to your library. All processing happens on your device.

08Advertising & Tracking
Arena is free and supported by ads from Google AdMob, including banner ads, interstitial ads (for example, while an image is being created), and app-open ads.
- Consent first: Where the law requires it (for example, in the EEA, the UK, and Switzerland), Google's consent form asks for your choice before personalized ads are shown.
- Apple's tracking prompt: iOS asks whether Arena may use your advertising identifier. If you choose "Ask App Not to Track," you'll still see ads, but they won't be based on your activity in other apps and websites.
- Change your mind anytime: Open Settings → Privacy Choices in Arena (when available in your region), or go to iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Ad measurement: Arena supports Apple's SKAdNetwork, a privacy-preserving way for advertisers to measure ad results without identifying you.
- Your content stays out of ads: Your chats, voice text, prompts, photos, and creations are never shared with advertisers.

- Encryption in transit: All communication between the app and Arena's server uses HTTPS.
- Offline messages: If you send a Contact Us message without a connection, it's held on your device and sent automatically once you're back online.
- Limited access: Only the Arena team can access Contact Us messages.
10Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. We only share data:
- With Cloudflare, Inc.: To run Arena's server, gallery, and support inbox, and, only with your permission, to process your chat messages, voice text, and prompts with Cloudflare Workers AI, a third-party AI service.
- With Google AdMob: Advertising data, as described in Section 8. Under some laws (such as California's), using ad data for personalized ads may count as "sharing." You can opt out at any time with Apple's tracking setting and Arena's Privacy Choices.
- For legal reasons: When required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of our users or Arena.
11Children's Privacy
Arena is not directed to children under the age of 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has sent us personal information, for example through Contact Us, please reach out at supporthelp@arenaai.com and we will delete it promptly.
12Your Privacy Rights & Choices
Depending on where you live (for example, under the GDPR in Europe or the CCPA/CPRA in California), you may have the right to:
- Access: Ask what personal information we hold about you
- Correction: Ask us to correct inaccurate information
- Deletion: Ask us to delete your Contact Us messages
- Objection & withdrawal of consent: Withdraw AI data sharing in Arena → Settings → AI Data Sharing, and ad consent via Privacy Choices
- Opt out of personalized ads: Using Apple's tracking setting and Arena's Privacy Choices
- Complaint: Contact your local data protection authority
To exercise any of these rights, contact us using the details in Section 15. We will never treat you differently for exercising your rights.

13International Data Transfers
Cloudflare and Google operate worldwide, so your information may be processed in countries other than your own, including the United States. These providers use recognized safeguards, such as Standard Contractual Clauses, to protect data transferred internationally.
Note: Crop and History work entirely on your device and involve no data transfer.
14Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we add new features. When we do, we will:
- Post the updated policy on this page and in the app
- Update the "Last Updated" date at the top
- Let you know in the app if the changes are significant
We encourage you to review this policy periodically.
